Dayton gunman had drugs, alcohol in his system

As per a postmortem report, the gunman in Dayton had cocaine, an antidepressant and alcohol in his system during the mass shooting. Authorities found a pipe device and cocaine on 24-year-old Connor Betts. Betts opened fire in a popular entertainment district in Dayton. Police shot him as he neared a bar. A motive for the shooting is yet to be determined.

I’m not at all surprised that he was on antidepressants.If you look into a lot of mass shootings you will find a lot of the shooters were taking antidepressants.

Substance abuse is positively correlated with violent crime. Other mental illness has no definitive link. We need to better address abuse/addiction.

I mean yeah. Its very common for terrorists to take hard drugs before an attack. PCP, Opium, Cocaine, anything they can get there hands on.
