Ransomware attack in Texas targets local government agencies

Texas has revealed a ransomware attacks on 23 government entities on the morning of August 16. Texas hasn’t named the institutions so far due to ’security concerns’. Security teams did not identify the culprits. However, evidence pointed to a ’single threat actor’ attacking all these entities at once.

Gotta love how the ransomware just "magically appears" and "attacks"like that. No. Some dumb person installed something suspect. Some Karen or Bubba installed cracked Office or something. Or clicked on a link in an email like a dumbass.
