Greenland on Friday dismissed the notion that it might be up for sale. This comes after reports surfaced that President Trump had privately discussed with his advisers the idea of buying the island. ’We are open for business, but we’re not for sale’, Greenland’s foreign minister was quoted saying. Denmark’s former prime minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said, ’It has to be an April Fool’s joke’.
Comon, Denmark! lets make a deal!!!
If it existed, wonder what social media back in the day of the Lousiana purchase from France would say, or Alaska purchase from Russia? Pretty funny these people acting like stuff like this could never happen... May have to hunt down some links to historical debates over those events...
Almost all politicians in West Europe is more interested in virtual signaling against Trump than taking action and speak about dictator's all over the world. Trump, who in my opinion sometimes talks too much, has done more for the Korean conflict than all if the talking heads in Europe all together.
MGGA! Make Greenland Great Again!
51st state?
Buy Portugal instead, we'd love to be part of the US 👌😁
Always remember that Denmark is a damp fart of a country with a population less than a major world city. A tiny fast Islamizing joke on an eroding peninsula in Europe. If any proper country wanted Greenland they could take it. One thing stopping a takeover is who wants 40,000 Inuit and a pile of snow and ice.
inb4 the u.s annexes Greenland
This may has been the worst trade deal in history. Maybe ever
Trump... dude why. Don't say stupid shit like that. Stick to Your Job!
Again, let’s buy Canada first
Americans never fail to entertain me.
We turned down the deal last time.
Well, we could simply take it... I mean, we aren’t going to do so, but you Euros do realize we could have anything we want, right? If we (the USA) did take it, you all would bitch and moan about how we invaded something... But that’s about it. And we’ve never really cared about what you think. That being said, we don’t want it.
Someone is trolling someone.
New Green deal, let's go.
thats what new york and chicago said, now both have giant trump towers.
That seems like an overreaction considering that from what I can see the furthest it got was Trump semi jokingly asking his advisors if he should try to buy it. Did he even express interest outside of a closed door meeting? I guess Greenland and Denmark are a bit insecure about the idea.
History proves everything has a price it's whether it's the price you want to pay.
Go and take it then. What they gonna do about it?
