Good. This is one case where excessive force was real. Garner was accused of selling loosies without a tax stamp. Is that even an arrestable offense? What should have been a ticket/fine resulted in a man's death.

Fact 1) Garner had over 30 previous arrests. Fact 2) He wasnt put in a chokehold - it was a headlock- and it was because he was resisting arrest. Fact 3) He didnt die due to the headlock - he died because he was a fat fuck who's tiny heart failed.

The guy knowingly violated department policy. Of course he should be fired.

Probably an unpopular opinion but if police were all trained in MMA they could bring more people in alive.

Eric Garner's story is always told en medias res. Context is crucial.

For everyone crying murder, it was more like manslaughter, or negligence resulting in death. Let's all just take a deep breath and calm down.

NYPD *finally* fired the guy; I would have preferred him to have been convicted of murder, but this is a step forward.

If you are in a choke hold, you wont have the ability to say that you cant breath over and over and over. To be able to talk, you have to be able to breath.
