British Hong Kong consulate employee solicited a prostitute, Chinese media claim

A British Consulate employee, Simon Cheng Man-Kit, 28, has been detained in China for 15 days after leaving Hong Kong on a business trip. Chinese authorities said he violated public law by soliciting a prostitute, state-backed media reported Thursday. He is placed on administrative detention.

I’ll be perfectly honest. The Chinese Government has zero credibility with me... They could say this guy killed 20 people and kept their faces in a collection, have mountains worth of physical evidence, videos of the crimes, and witness testimony and I’d still call bullshit.
