Crowds force Costco to shut 1st China store early on opening day

American retail giant Costco’s first outlet opened in China on Tuesday. It was overrun with customers willing to fight over discounted products and wait hours to pay for their purchases. Costco had to suspend operations in its Shanghai store in the afternoon citing ’heavy traffic and customer flows’, according to a text message sent to members and shared on Weibo, China’s micro-blogging website.

Chinese people act more like animals than people, no respect, no civility and if your not Chinese it only gets worse.

Chinese people love Costco. I live in a town that's less than 2% Chinese yet they make up at least 50% of the folks I see there

Like Black Friday or a new iPhone launch. I lived in Japan and they are polite and line up there, but the first ever Krispy Kreme Doughnuts shop in the country had 1 1/2 to 2-hour lines for about the first year it was open.
