Wall Street rallies after China trade comments

U.S. stocks rallied more than 1% on Thursday, buoyed by gains in the trade-sensitive technology and industrial sectors as China expressed hope on trade negotiations with the United States, easing concerns that rising tensions could stoke a recession. China’s commerce ministry said both sides are discussing the next round of talks scheduled for September.

I don't believe that China has any intentions of sincere negotiations. This is just a delaying tactic trying to get the tarrifs stopped or reduced while they wait out the US election cycle.

It doesn't matter if markets open lower or higher. The same people are making money. The stock market is the plaything of the 1 percent.
