Alabama governor apologies for wearing blackface in college

Alabama Republican Gov. Kay Ivey has apologized for wearing blackface during a skit at Auburn University more than 50 years ago. Ivey said Thursday she still doesn’t recall the incident, but after a recording surfaced of her discussing the sketch with her then-fiancé and later first husband, Ben LaRavia, Ivey admitted it must be true.

Honestly people forget context matters. Imagine in 50 years when photos of football players in powder puff is offensive.

She can't remember, it's either a sign of dementia or old granny blackface is lying, both reasons to boot her ass out of office. I really don't care that she did it, but if she had any integrity she would have just maned up and say so what, I did it, it was a different time and I no longer hold those beliefs.
