Google could pay up $200M to settle FTC investigation into YouTube

YouTube agreed to pay $150-200 million to the Justice Department to settle the FTC investigation with regards to violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Its alleged infraction was collecting data on youthful users to serve them targeted advertisements without the consent of their parents.

That's no deterrent, is it. A Monopoly does back down on such puny hindrances. They actually grow stronger, cos it's just a simple challenge.
