Trump slams labor leader Trumka for ’not doing enough’ to oppose NAFTA

President Donald Trump slammed Richard Trumka, a top labor leader of the country, on Labor Day, accusing Trumka and ’his Dems’ of not doing enough to oppose the ’terrible’ North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The President tweeted his displeasure and quoted segments from Trumka’s appearance on a popular news channel.

Unions should be used to unenforceable things. Negotiating for economically unfeasible wages and benefits and demanding jobs stay in the US, how can they even take their own rhetoric seriously?

I agree. imI used to want the USMCA. but since the Workers of all 3 countries were not represented at the table? a bad deapnwas made. bad for the workers of all 3 countries.

NAFTA 2.0 is still not ratified by the US or Canada. Trump cannot enact trade treaties without Congress.

Wait... does this imply that Labour unions are the corrupt arms of big business? Not actually interested in protecting the interests of the common working man? It's almost like these institutions have been corrupt for the best part of half a century, and yet we still wonder how left-wing politics has slowly become so out of touch with real working people.
