As nursing homes and hospitals are being evacuated in Florida ahead of Hurricane Dorian’s landfall, some residents chose to stay back in the face of impending disaster. With nearly 25 percent of Florida’s population aged 60 and above, most of the people choosing to stay back are senior citizens, who contend that they will indeed have to move if things become more dangerous.
