Rare bird species likely wiped out by Dorian, say scientists

A rare tropical bird species may have been wiped out by Hurricane Dorian, a category five storm that has wrecked havoc along the Bahamas and the East Coast of the United States. The Bahama nuthatch, which is an endangered species, had only two members alive, and the population of the bird species had been decreasing consistently due to deforestation and prevalence of other invasive species.
