Dorian reaches North Carolina’s farms which were still recovering from Florence

After causing destruction in the Bahamas, Hurricane Dorian reached the North Carolina coast on Friday. Even though it was brought down to a category 1 storm, Dorian could cause huge damage to the farms as it is expected to bring 10-15 inches of rainfall. Farmers are still recovering from the damage caused by Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Hurricane Florence last year.

The CNBC headline is killing me. I don’t understand why the media tries to be so sensationalist. No shit, farmers are going to lose their entire yearly income. By all means Dorian is bad, but it isn’t nearly as bad as Katrina.

Almost seems like an annual thing. But weather patterns never change, right?
