Moscow elections leave Russia opposition off ballot

Moscow goes to vote after weeks of protests for opposition candidates that led to the biggest police crackdown on dissent in nearly a decade. Independent would-be candidates and their supporters were arrested and jailed in Moscow amid large protests over the summer. They are not allowed to run for elections, nevertheless.
