Apple accuses Google of ’stoking fear’ about iPhone hack

Apple hit back at Google for the reporting of a security vulnerability in iOS, claiming the impact of the bug had been exaggerated. Researchers at Google’s Project Zero last month detailed the vulnerabilities, describing a campaign to exploit ’iPhones en masse’ through a number of hacked websites. The vulnerability was patched six months ago, Apple said, adding that attack was ’narrowly focused’.
