FDA calls out Juul for promoting vaping as safer than cigarettes

The FDA slammed e-cigarette manufacturer Juul Labs on Monday for marketing that suggested its product is safer than other tobacco products. A company representative told students its e-cigs were ’totally safe,’ as per the students’ testimony before Congress. There were also additional concerns cited over the company’s marketing that focused on Native American tribes, health insurers and students.

Fine. State that the e-cigs do not contain the carcinogenic products and byproducts of tobacco cigarettes, including tar, nor do they cause or propagate second hand cigarette smoke.

Bunch of tech eh? None news, more fallout from the “oh look vaping is bad” camp.

it is safer.... I'd be happy if they banned all smoking and drinking, but vaping is much safer than smoking.

This is just a stupid ad war between two companies trying to stroke their cocks to leverage legal footing and gain more costumers

it is an international amazement is it not ? The ones who been given the rights simply cos they got documented to do so are all over the place. Why in the first place were they authorised. it seems like the same tale as cigarettes. drag on it for as long as u like boys

.....Vaping *is* safer than smoking though. The facts hold that to be true. Deaths from smoking = 7 million per year. Deaths from vaping = 5.
