Florida man gets 10 days for dragging live shark behind boat

A man in Florida who recorded a shark being dragged to its death behind a speed boat has been sentenced to 10 days in jail. Robert Lee ’Bo’ Benac III was the third man to face charges stemming from the June 2017 incident. The men could be heard laughing at the shark on the recording, which was posted to social media.

A lot of people do not fully understand this story. When you go shark fishing you tie a rope to the sharks tale and slowly drag it behind the boat. This is one of the quickest way to kill your catch as the shark can not breath when the water is traveling backwards. The reason this instance was considered animal abuse is because this idiot went full speed which prolonged the death.
