UAW calls strike against General Motors for first time since financial crisis

As General Motors failed to reach a pay and conditions deal with the United Auto Workers union (UAW), about 50,000 General Motors workers have announced a strike. The strike - from midnight (04:00 GMT) on Monday - is the first major stoppage at GM since 2007. UAW vice-president Terry Dittes told reporters in Detroit that strike was their last resort. In that strike, a two-day stoppage cost $300m.

Makes me wonder how this will work for them once the ICE market starts to tank vs the EV market; we should be hitting that crossover point in 3-5 years time.

I only get $68 dollars an hour in wages and benefits. Waaaaaaah I love how they get a government bailout, and then strike costing the company millions.

The poor things... The union is only going to pay them 250per week. Their average pay is 1200per week. You can look up what these overpaid rat-monkey's do in a day on YouTube. Nothing but Greed from Corporate, Union and "the working stiff".
