Trump demands resignation of NYT writers involved in Kavanaugh smear

President Trump called for resignations and changes in the management at the New York Times during a rally in New Mexico on Monday night. This comes after the paper backtracked on an earlier published report alleging sexual misconduct against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. ’The Times is DEAD’, tweeted Trump in reference to what he called ’the Kavanaugh smear story’.

Also, Tim Pool has a good video overviewing this topic. I recommend it.

The press has a right to lie and be terrible at their job!

BS of the most fertile quality - the removal of the identity of the supposed victim does not change the fact that this was a very deliberate smear. If the information was left in then why would this ever be newsworthy?

I'm glad to see the president pushing back on the media. They spend waaaaay too much time hiding their bad faith reporting behind their 'surprised Pikachu face' defense.

That headline! Did Trump “demand” it? Or did he say he thought it should happen. Cuz last I checked, he isn’t in charge of that. Just leftists trying to pretend we have an authoritarian President.

I agree. But can we hold Trump and his administration to the same standard?

Who keeps saying free speech is not freedom from consequences? The dems. Fuck these liars, where are the moral press standards?

Lies of omission are still lies.

Accountability. Hard to believe that the POTUS needs to be the one to demand it. Shouldn't there be something in the modern world that is a check or balance for malicious false reporting? Consumers should be part if the equation, but the crazy left celebrates this stupid shit.

Max Stier the guy that said he heard the Kavanaugh rumor, was bill Clinton's lawyer during the impeachment. Ken Starr and Kavanaugh were on the other side. This is a conflict of interest not mentioned in article. One if the NYT reporters was dormmates with Kavanaugh also not mentioned. Did they think these not important to mention? Here is news report talking about Kavanaugh and bill Clinton's impeachment. https://youtu.be/cWYEXirDXC0 https://www.mediaite.com/opinion/the-new-york-times-hit-on-brett-kavanaugh-wasnt-a-bombshell-it-was-a-temper-tantrum/ Except, what they and the Times piece didn’t tell you is that Steir worked on Bill Clinton’s defense team during his impeachment while Kavanaugh was a major player in Ken Starr’s opposing forces. This important fact, inexplicably left out of the Times story, but interestingly placed at the end of this 2018 article in the Yale paper which portrays a very different climate surrounding Kavanaugh at the time, goes way beyond the obvious problems with Steir’s possible political motivation here. Think about it this way… what are the chances that during the Clinton/Lewinsky saga, Steir could possibly be working against a man that he witnessed doing exactly the same thing the president he was defending was accused of by Paula Jones, and him not at least mention it to every single one of his co-workers — even if for some reason he didn’t want to leak it to the press at the time?! https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/nyt-reporter-behind-kavanaugh-article-knew-him-in-college-and-was-in-his-freshman-year-dorm NYT reporter behind Kavanaugh article was 'in his freshman year dorm' at Yale
