Israelis return to polls to decide Netanyahu’s fate

Israeli vote on Tuesday in the second national election in five months. This comes after PM Benjamin Netanyahu failed to form a governing coalition following weeks of negotiations in April. Opinion polls have shown a race that is too close to call, with Netanyahu’s Likud Party running alongside former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Benny Gantz’ Blue and White Party.

I am going to object to the word "fate" here; Netanyahu has been in and out of office for decades. It's just another vote, the guy is not about to die.

So with Netanyahu unable to actually form a govt coalition, what will happen if the same thing happens again after this election (assuming Netanyahu is elected again)? Is there just going to be a giant stalemate?
