China attacks Pelosi for meeting Hong Kong activists

China’s foreign ministry on Thursday accused US congressional leader Nancy Pelosi of making irresponsible remarks about pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong. This comes a day after Pelosi welcomed activists from the city to the U.S. Capitol. A spokesman for China said American lawmakers had confused right and wrong by engaging with what he termed Hong Kong separatists.

Please, it's a photo-op! Nobody in the Democratic party actually cares about these poor activists and their sad fate.

British has Hong Kong for a hundred years and the Chinese under British common law turn the little fishing village into the largest capital market in the world and the number 5 international city. Chinese Communist Party has it for less than 20 years, apply Chinese Communist Party control, and destroys the capital market and turns Hong Kong from the number 5 international city back into a fishing village, but with no fish. Watch the currency. Hong Kong currency firewall under pressure. With thousands of companies leaving China the conveyor belt for American dollars is now running the other way. That is, out of Communist China. It is over folks. Communist lie. That is all they do. Communism only works until they run out of other peoples money. Then the mass arrests start the mass murder after that. Followed by mass unemployment and ending with mass starvation and cannibalism. Time to leave.

Democracy, or autonomy? There are some ideas one just cannot expect Beijing to tolerate - for example, regardless of how likely it is to become popular, what if the fringe idea to make Hong Kong the 51st state of the U.S. became popular in Hong Kong? Would you really expect China to permit such a thing without war?
