Pelosi unveils plan to lower drug prices

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi released proposed legislation on Thursday that would allow the federal government to negotiate the prices of hundreds of prescription drugs. A summary to the bill says it would allow the U.S. government every year to negotiate prices on ’as many as possible of the 250 most costly drugs to Medicare and the entire U.S. health system’ that lack price competition.

I hope she intends to allow the drug market to open, if we can get some true competition between the big companies would help lower costs.

Don't know anything about her plan, but didn't she get the memo in not passing any legislation so they could investigate stuff?!
