Thomas Cook in debt, could face bankruptcy

A British travel company, Thomas Cook is trying its hardest to survive as it seeks about $330 million to survive. One of the oldest and largest travel companies of the world, it is badly in debt and could end up causing about 150,000 British travelers getting affected. The company confirmed that it required extra funds so as to avoid its collapse and closure.

It would be less expensive in the long run to let the company go bankrupt ... flying customers home will cost a lot. BUT continuing to lend money to a company that will never be able to pay it back will end up costing more. Sad but true: Some businesses reach a point where they cannot survive.

Yikes - sounds like any investors in Thomas Cook are screwed one way or another.
