Carlos Ghosn settles US SEC fraud charges for $1m

Carlos Ghosn, former Nissan chairman, has agreed to pay $1 million in the US to settle charges relating to financial disclosures that neglected to highlight a $140 million payment he was due to receive on retirement. The SEC alleged that Carlos and subordinates deceived Nissan and its investors in not declaring the payment scheme. Ghosn also agreed to a 10-year ban on being a director in the US.
