Earthquake strikes off Puerto Rico’s coast as island braces for storm

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake shook Puerto Rico Monday night, striking off the coast of the island. The quake hit about 49 miles north-northwest of Isabela, Puerto Rico. At least three aftershocks followed including one with a magnitude 4.7. There was no reported damage. Separately, Karen, now degraded to a tropical depression, is headed towards Puerto Rico, expected to bring rainfall and flooding.
