Prosecutor urges judge to reject Trump lawsuit over tax returns

A prosecutor from Manhattan on Monday urged a federal judge to dismiss President Trump’s bid to block a subpoena seeking eight years of his tax returns as part of a criminal investigation. District Attorney Cyrus Vance argued in a court filing that Trump must not be allowed to assert ’blanket immunity from criminal prosecution’, including for conduct before he took office.

Asking for 8 years of Trump’s tax returns is an abuse of subpoena powers and a move of desperation.

Of course the prosecutor ASKS that; he has no evidence of a crime, and no basis for this enormous invasion of privacy.

It's pure gamesmanship like this that was the reason we added sanction to our rules of the Federal Civil Procedure. Behavior like this is highly immoral and goes against the ethics agreements you have to sign to become a lawyer.

You should just leave it alone the only years Trump didn't pay taxes were years where he lost more revenue then he would of paid in taxes. If you keep digging and illegaly obtain trumps taxse with an abusive warrant like the Fisa scandal your just gonna make the tax scandal into another witch hunt where he gains more support. Even an animal is smart enough to know not to put it's nose where it'll get bit.
