Second parent arrested in US college admissions scandal

A father, Devin Sloane has been arrested for paying $250,000 for his son’s admission to the University of Southern California as a fake water polo recruit. A Los Angeles business executive, Devin is the second parent to be sentenced after actress Felicity Huffman. Felicity Huffman was the first and received 14 days in prison earlier this month.

Sloane definitely did worse than Huffman; I think his fine needs another zero behind it, and his son should be required to do an equivalent amount of community service too.

so what??? why does this actually matter? everyone knows that higher learning is a scam. the only good thing about it is that it's a good place to meet someone from a good family to marry.

All this does is prove the college idiom of hugher education is both false and pretentious. Welcome to College. Where education is made up, and the diplomas dont mean anything.
