1.3 million additional Americans entitled to overtime as per new rule

Mandatory overtime pay was extended to 1.3 million workers by the US Department of Labor on Tuesday. The current move will benefit those workers who earn less than $35,568, and will come into place from January 1, 2020 onwards. Currently, those workers who earn less than $23,660 are entitled to overtime. This figure was set in the year 2004.

I have mixed feelings about this. I worked a job once where I was salaried but working 80 hour weeks. It ended up being less than minimum wage.
