Trump defends nationalism at UN General Assembly

The United States President Donald Trump defended nationalism and American Sovereignty while addressing the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. He further said that the future belongs to the patriots and not the globalists. The president also rejected transnational organizations and alliances.

I think that there should be trade and the UN should be treated as a global forum. What scares me about Globalism is its tendency to concentrate power and its apparent disdain for Democracy and Populism.

There's a long history of nation-states achieving superior outcomes in cultural and economic success. The recent move to globalize, and "cultural Darwinism" are unproven beyond the abysmal failure produced by socialism itself. Let countries be individual and simultaneously members of a bigger global community... But say NO to a global structure that has an elite group deciding what everybody must do.
