Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been invited by the President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin to try and form the government. Power sharing talks with Benny Gantz, Netanyahu’s centrist rival, failed to materialize and as a result, Netanyahu does not seem to have a clear path to a fifth term as Israeli PM.

Okay my American is showing here but how does this government work exactly is there an elected ruler and then almost a parliament and the prime minister is his like a speaker of the house?
