Brother found guilty of ’honor killing’ of Pakistan social media star

A Pakistan court on Friday convicted the brother of social media star Qandeel Baloch for her murder. The court found Muhammad Waseem guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Waseem admitted in 2016 that he strangled his sister due to her social media activities. Baloch had posted risque Facebook posts trying to change, what she called ’the typical orthodox mindset’ of people in Pakistan.

It was peaceful and full of honor. Islam is right about women. Isn't it?

This perfectly encapsulates why I dont want Islam anywhere near me. He was willing to murder his sister for his religion. Is it any wonder Muslim men had no problem raping 11 year old girls or blowing up children at concerts.

Good thing the brother who murdered his sibling is not in the US. If so, then we'd have another Democrat voter, no doubt. I'm fine not being enriched by his culture, although others might disagree.

I'm not surprised by the complete ignorance and ethnocentric comments.... while Islam can not be separated from culture... the acts of this man had more to do with a worldview that many civilizations have/do hold to... (Japan, Korea, Israel etc.) honor and shame... the community and family are worth more than the individual... it's a different way of thinking... not necessarily a Islam thing...
