Harris County deputy fatally shot in traffic stop

A Texas sheriff’s deputy was shot multiple times from behind while conducting a traffic stop on Friday. Sandeep Dhaliwal, a 10-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and the first Sikh deputy, stopped a vehicle with two people inside. One of the occupants, identified as Robert Solis, left the vehicle and approached Dhaliwal from behind and shot him at least twice.

It's sad that people try to politicize the deaths of either those accused of wrong, or those enforcing laws. In a civil context these deaths should be rare, and used to be. A lack of respect for other citizens is creating a dark and somewhat dystopian future. But is that the world you wish to live in?.
