Kurz’s conservatives win Austrian election

Austrian conservative leader Sebastian Kurz triumphed in Sunday’s parliamentary election, but will need a coalition partner to form a stable government. Kurz’s People’s Party (OVP) came first with 37.2 per cent of the vote. His most likely choices to ally with include the right Freedom Party (FPO) or the Greens and liberal Neos.
