US may impose $7.5 bn of tariffs on EU over Airbus subsidies

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has said the U.S. can move forward with plans to impose some $7.5 billion in tariffs on EU goods annually. The measure is aimed to counteract years of European loans and illegal subsidies to Airbus. The European Union warned Thursday it will retaliate against the U.S. decision to slap the tariffs.

The EU is still weak, frayed at the edges. They do not have the same unilateral centralized economic power the United States wields. They will threaten and maybe hit a little bit, but they will bend the knee. No offense to my brothers across the pond.

"we will retaliate against you for countering our illegal activities" the EU should have been dismantled long ago.

Maybe after all the tariffs are in place we should just cancel out equal amounts of tariffs (value traded times rate) on both sides? Also, it sounds like someone should enter competition with Boeing and airbus. Also also, American whiskey is better anyway.
