HSBC planning up to 10,000 job cuts to slash costs

As per reports, HSBC Holdings is planning to cut up to 10,000 jobs, more than 4% of its workforce, in an effort to curtail costs across the banking group. Sources say the cuts will focus mainly on high-paid roles. The bank has not confirmed the same. HSBC Holdings had 237,685 full-time employees at the end of June 2019.
