Two protesters charged under Hong Kong’s mask ban

Two protesters in Hong Kong were charged Monday with violating the new ban on wearing masks at rallies. An 18-year-old student and a 38-year-old woman were prosecuted under the new controversial ban, which came into force Saturday under sweeping emergency powers. A conviction under the mask ban is punishable by up to a year in prison and a fine.

Anti mask law passed, 3 days of largest scale protest so far happens right away, don't they realise the public are already ready to come out and fight knowing the consequences of riot charges is up to 10 year imprisonment, this law is just gonna affect peaceful majority of civilians who's afraid of being targeted by Chinese forces, absolutely despicable.

2 only??? It's about time! I'm shock that the HK police were so restraint. given the amount of violence by the riotors, I'm surprise they didn't arrest or shot more of them! 😱
