Climate protesters block streets around world

Climate activists across the world took to the streets on Monday to launch two weeks of peaceful civil disobedience to demand immediate action to cut carbon emissions and avert an ecological disaster. 135 activists from the Extinction Rebellion group were arrested in London as they blocked bridges and roads in the city center. Protesters in Berlin halted traffic at the Victory Column roundabout.

Do I think we need to rapidly adopt policies and technologies that reduces and eliminates greenhouse gasses? Absolutely. But the recent findings of there being 12 years left to prevent all of the damage becoming unfixable isn't well vetted. We needed to keep progressing, but some of these protests do more harm than good and don't do anything to convince the right to care about these issues. There needs to be more talk about the Green New Deal that will bring back the jobs that are lost in the Midwest. If people really looked into it and not the Fox News version of the GND, most night actually like what's there.
