Thai elephants die in waterfall plunge in national park

Drone footage released on Tuesday has shown that five more Thai elephants have died in the Haew Narok waterfall in a national park in northeast Thailand. Five elephants plunged to death in the waterfall when trying to cross the river at the top of the cliff. A similar incident occurred at the same spot in 1992 which resulted in the death of eight elephants.
