A contract worth $200,000 with Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be renewed by GitHub, owned by Microsoft, according to a leaked e-mail. The contract will be renewed despite concerns relating to the Trump administration’s immigration policies. The internal email was leaked to Fight for the Future, a tech activist organization.

so its an expectation that businesses remain apolitical, demonstrated by bakeries being sued for not wanting to provide services for same sex weddings, yet when you sell a product to a political organization that the public obligates you to disagree with, then its bad? the hypocrisy is painfully visible. IBM sold proprietary technologies to the third reich that played a hand in the holocaust, because thats what businesses do - they sell products and services in exchange for capital, regardless of the customer. firearms stores sell weapons knowing full well they can be used to protect lives or commit murders, but its none of their business to know which.
