Peter Handke and Olga Tokarczuk win Nobel prizes for literature

Austria’s Peter Handke won the 2019 Nobel Prize for Literature. Alongside, Polish author Olga Tokarczuk won the award for 2018 that had been postponed. Handke, 76, won the prize for his work that ’explored the periphery and the specificity of human experience’. He has also co-written the script of the 1987 film ’Wings of Desire’.
