Google pulls Hong Kong protester role-playing app

Google has pulled down an app from its app store that lets people role play as Hong Kong protesters. The game, Revolution of Our Times, allowed users to buy protective gear and weapons, but they could also be arrested and even extradited to China. Google said the app violated a policy against cashing in on conflicts, and the decision was not the result of a request to take it down.

I'm not too sure if this game was cashing in on civil unrest or was try to spread awarness. So I'm wondering who was acting in bad faith here.

Well that just makes me want to play it. Keep an eye on DuckDuckGo for alternate APK download links. The top two results as of this post aren't working right now. Give it time. It'll be available elsewhere.

OPPOSE APP STORES. app stores are incredibly dangerous to our freedoms in this age of mobile device super dependency.

Lol Google pulls it with an apple Pic as headlines.

In doing so, they just continue the RPG to a LARP.

Is Google bowing to commies? It would hardly be the first time.
