Texas Democrat who called Tim Scott an ’oreo,’ announces resignation

A Texas Democratic official who called Sen. Tim Scott an ’oreo’ on Twitter last week has resigned from his position. Lamar County Democratic Party chair Gary O’Connor announced his resignation Tuesday, days after sparking a firestorm online. O’Connor apologized for targeting Scott with the racial slur, adding ’It was insensitive, and I have embarrassed myself and my party by its use.’

Democrats: Standing up for POCs, as long as they behave they way we want them to.

The strangest part about this insult is the fact that they're implying someone like Tim Scott isn't "black on the inside". As if 𝙏𝙞𝙢 𝙎𝙘𝙤'𝙩 isn't a good black role m'del. It's a reprehensible epithet on multiple levels and it shows exactly what Democrats think about black voters.

You may have embarrassed yourself but the party of the KKK has not been embarrassed with using racial slurs such as “uncle Tim” against their political opposition.

The Dems don't like it when black people leave the plantation. They want to preserve the status quo of blacks being used to shore up their voting base.

Oof. I remember this one black girl from my high school days in Texas. Poor girl was simply studying and doing her best in school, kept getting called and oreo by other black students. Apparently according to them, only white people study...

Ah the party of the klan and Jim Crow never fails to show its racist ways.

This was unacceptable. There is no reason for offensive language to be used. Especially when you are of a particular position.

Contrary to popular belief, racists shouldn't be allowed to run things. I don't mean fake racists I mean legit, confirmed racists like this guy, Joe Biden, Harris and the like.

Today: A black woman claiming to be a teacher berates a mexican cop and now this. When will Activists on the left entertain the idea that perhaps it is they who are paranoid racists? Seriously think about it. When everyone is [insert bigotry here] to you then you MUST self reflect and determine whether the reason you believe that is because you are using your own shadow in place of the average human.

That's a funny insult, have some humor guys, I hate how they make being super offended over the smallest things their primary character trait

Why is it only democrats face consequences? Why do I not see reams of repubs quitting for equal or greater embarrassment? Like supporting insurrection?

Not surprised but laughing at Republicans acting like their cult is any less racist

I’m glad the left are showing how racist they are. They elected the most racist president ever, so it’s not surprising.

"Imagine for a moment if you would, an America where both major parties weren't racist in some nature." People in this section are using the gotcha that dems are racist because their party is racist before. Its not the gotcha you think it is. Both parties have a history of racism or bigotry in one way or another.

Oh, lol. Brown on the outside, white on the inside. I get it. So everyone is racist because everyone once in their life chooses to eat the white bit first.
