Toyota’s hydrogen fuel-cell Mirai gets a new, luxurious look

The next generation of Toyota’s FCEV ( fuel cell vehicle) is a dramatic departure from the original model. This is a clean slate redesign of Toyota’s hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle and it looks beautiful. The EV concept is set to get a production-ready preview at the Tokyo auto show later this year with rear-wheel drive, 400 miles of range and five-minute refueling time.

Now this is the fuel of the future for transport. Forget hybrids and EV charging cars. With enough investment in infrastructure and hydrogen generation, any country can produce and distribute it as fuel. Less reliance on global oil (especially from the Middle East). Less use of rare earth materials in batteries. Much less local and global pollution from cars.
