Beto calls to strip tax status of churches opposing gay marriage

Beto O’Rourke said he’d strip churches of tax-exempt status if they don’t support same-sex marriage. Responding to a question if institutions - ’colleges, churches, charities’ - be stripped of tax-exempt status during the LGBTQ town hall, he immediately responded, ’Yes’.

More bigotry in the name of 'progress'. Can't idiots like him see what they're doing?

wut about mosques?

Taxing churches that do not support gay marriage is literally censorship and intimidation. It is also so contradictory that the left wants a separation of church and state in regards to laws, but are imposing these laws on churches when it clearly goes against biblical teachings. Stick with a narrative.

Beto and the Authoritarian Left are come full circle. They now want to remove the separation of Church and State. Unbelievable.

With these recent extreme proposals (mandatory buyback on semi-auto rifles & stripping tax exempt status from religious institutions that don’t accommodate to queer people), I suspect that he’s desperate to gain the nomination for Democrat presidential candidate, which we all know he is not going to get.

Leave our damn churches alone you prick. Time you banned the islamists from hating gays- then we can have an open conversation. Damn double standards makes me puke.

While I do support taxing churches and other religious services, I don’t believe taxing churches for opposing same sex marriage is even remotely legal. I do think it would be interesting on how mosques are taxed. I mean taxing Islam isn’t offensive at all. Islam is RIGHT about homosexuals

How about on abortion Beto? Beto he won't go there.

Nope, it's called freedom of association. Religious groups get their tax breaks because (believe it or not) they go out and commit acts of charity. Can't take it away because of your fee fees.

Beto doesnt know how the constitution works does he. I think I he's saying random shit now because he knows he has no chance of winning.

Rocky 6 months

He does realize we have a Constitution correct? If so he does realize the very first amendment is the right to freedom of religion. Freedom of religion is what founded this country (a shock to those that thought it was slavery). Religious persecution was the motivating factor to the Puritans and Quakers settling in America. Do they teach history anymore?

The state can wed same sex couples, there is no need to force churches to do so... BTW, does this include Mosques? ;)

In other news, Beto shows just how far he can bend over while pandering to fringe groups. He definitely would be one of the star attractions in the Clown Show.
