U.S. ambassador to EU will testify on Oct. 17

Gordon Sondland, the US ambassador to the EU, will testify before the committees leading an impeachment inquiry on Oct. 17. Sondland was initially scheduled to testify before the House committees on Tuesday, but was blocked by the Trump administration from appearing.

This is elected Republicans saying to the WH 'If you guys did nothing wrong, why did you forbid Sondland from testifying?' That block definitely put the WH at odds with Republican lawmakers.

This seems to indicate that either Sondland is an optimist about how this testimony is going to go, or he is tossing away his career for partisan activities. Guess we will see, if this is ever made public.
