Apple pulls down HK map app again after Chinese media criticism

Apple removed the HKmap.live app that allows Hong Kong activists to track police movements from its online store, after a Chinese newspaper accused the company of facilitating illegal behaviour. This is the second time Apple pulled down the app. Apple said in a statement that the app was removed because it ’has been used to target and ambush police’ and ’threaten public safety’.
