Blizzard reduces suspension of Hong Kong Hearthstone player

Blizzard has reversed its decision to withhold prize money from a player who expressed support for the Hong Kong protests. Gamer, Ng Wai ’Blitzchung’ Chung, had earlier been banned for one year and told he would not get any prize money after he said ’Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our age’ on a live broadcast after a tournament. In a new statement, the company said they ’reacted too quickly’.

Too little too late I believe but then again the blizzard that built the beloved franchises of wow and diablo are just shells of their former selves. Will I stay? Hard to say, I’m prepaid till December at least so saying I’ll quit is an empty statement. I can say even if this doesn’t “kill” wow it will have added another nail to the coffin.

We should have made it illegal decades ago for anyone to do business with Communist regimes. To do business with them is to support tyrants and dictators.
