Facebook rejects Signal ads on social media giant’s data collection

Signal tried to run a series of Instagram ads to show the amount of data the social media platform and its parent company Facebook collect about users. However, the attempt was quickly shut down by Facebook, Signal said in a blog post. Signal stressed in its post that ’Companies like Facebook aren’t building technology for you, they’re building technology for your data.’

Funny, that a “Platform” doesn’t let ads that criticize the said “platform”. Sure, we’ll go ahead with the “it’s a Private Company huhu” 😇

That really would’ve been an epic campaign. I think a lot of folks would’ve been more amazed than they’d expect at the amount of data that is known about them.

Now, why on earth would facebook want to hide how much data on its users it sells for its own profit? Hehe. Not likenitnsuffers from seemingly regular breaches wherenusers info finds its way onto black market sites or such.... Anyway... always remember, with facebook, you arent the consumer, you are the product. FB makes its money selling your information.
