China’s trade with US shrinks again in September amid tariff war

China’s trade with the United States fell by double digits again in September amid a tariff war that threatens to tip the global economy into recession. China’s September imports from the United States fell 20.5% and exports to the US market were down 17.8%.

Honestly this isn't a bad thing, it's fairly similar to the people saying Brexit will cause people in the UK to starve. The free market will adjust. Reaching annual growth levels of 5 to 6 percent year after year is not sustainable. Slowdowns in their economy, which is highly centralized and reliant on foreign investment and government loans, is inevitable. I think it's shameful that people believe China is "too big to fail" or something. It's rather like an escalator built too cheaply, it's MEANT to fail.

That’s Trumpenomics for ya. Let’s widen the trade gap while raising prices and taxes on everyone except the very rich.
