Slain woman’s family demands sacking of Fort Worth police officer

Atatiana Jefferson’s family demanded the sacking of the police officer who shot her dead inside her bedroom. The Fort Worth police officer had gone to Ms. Jefferson’s house to conduct a welfare check, when the incident took place. The woman, aged 28, was playing video games with her nephew, who is eight years old.

Law Enforcement DID NOT make their presence to the homeowner known at the time of the shooting. As the homeowner was not notified of Law Enforcement presence it would be more than reasonable to pull out a firearm for the intent of defense and to point it at the possible perpetrator trespassing her property... being the officer in this case. This was a gross oversight by the officers in question. This is UNACCEPTABLE and should result in firing if not charges for involuntary manslaughter.
